Two teenagers have been charged after a north-east youngster was allegedly assaulted on school grounds.
Police said they were investigating the incident at Peterhead Academy, with video footage being shared online and appearing to show a young boy being attacked by a group of fellow pupils.
Two children have been charged in connection with the incident and will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit.
The incident is believed to have happened in March, with police made aware this month.
Inspector George Cordiner said: “Incidents of this nature are distressing to watch and we have been in regular contact with the youngster involved.”
An Aberdeenshire Council spokesman said: “Any form of violence within school grounds is treated with the upmost seriousness and we will not tolerate this sort of behaviour.”
