Scores of children put their coding skills to the test as part of a regional technology competition this week.
More than 1,300 pupils from across Aberdeenshire entered GamesCon, with 14 teams battling it out in the final at Robert Gordon University.
The youngsters were tasked with creating an interactive game or animation which could be used in schools to show how to keep children safe.
They took part in a live coding exercise and showed their creations off to their peers.
Teams from Crimond Primary and Mackie Academy took the top prizes, while those from Westhill and Hillside were named runners up.
Aberdeenshire Council education chairwoman Gillian Owen said: It’s great to see such enthusiastic participation in any educational activity.
“This is a really exciting way to engage children across Aberdeenshire in computer science and help develop our young workforce to be ready for a very digital world.”
Vice-chairman Mark Findlater said: “This event is a celebration of creativity, problem solving, computational thinking, coding and teamwork.”
