The No 10 hopeful stopped by at the house Betty has lived in for 67 years on Sunday afternoon. The 99-year-old lifelong Conservative said: “I’m proud of my great nephew. “He’s a great listener and always wants to hear your opinions. Mr Hunt spoke of fond memories of going to sweet shops in Aberdeen as a seven-year-old boy. He added: “It was great to have a cup of tea with her and I hope to be back soon as prime minister.” Sources close to the Hunt campaign confirmed the baked treat served was lemon drizzle cake.
