An Aberdeen man has been jailed for sexually abusing a young girl and taking naked photographs of her.
Barry Kennedy, 40, admitted intentionally causing the youngster to participate in sexual activity at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
Kennedy was also caught in possession of indecent images of children at a flat in Tullos, which had been collected over six months.
Sheriff Andrew Miller sentenced Kennedy to 18 months in jail.
He will be continue to be supervised as part of an extended two-year sentence for six months after his release.
Kennedy will also be subject to a five-year sexual offences prevention order, used to limit certain aspects of an offender’s life such as internet access.
He was placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
