The funeral of a young Aberdeen woman allegedly murdered will be held next week.
Neomi Smith died in a property in the Brechin’s Swan Street in the early hours of Sunday, June 9.
The 23-year-old’s funeral will be held at Aberdeen Crematorium’s west chapel on Wednesday at 1.15pm.
Posting on Facebook, her father John Smith said: “It’s with a broken heart I’m letting all Neomi’s friends and family know, Neomi’s funeral service will be on Wednesday July 10 at 1.15pm at Aberdeen Crematorium West Chapel, to which all family and friends are respectively invited.
“Family flowers only please but donations on the day to Horseback UK.”
Her heartbroken dad previously spoke of his despair at losing his daughter at such a young age.
“She was my life, my everything and my heart has been completely broken,” he said.
“Sweet dreams my little angel. Till we meet again. Miss you with all my heart.”
Friends and colleagues left tributes to the “truly one of a kind” woman near the police cordon surrounding the Brechin property where emergency workers found her seriously hurt.
A 23-year-old man from the town has been charged with her murder.
Keith Rizzo has since appeared twice at Forfar Sheriff Court and made no plea to the charge. He was remanded in custody.
