Peterhead Football Club has gifted its shirt sponsor to Friends of Anchor.
The charity’s logo will be emblazoned across the chests of the team from this Saturday, with the pink strip available to the public from the end of July.
Ordinarily sponsors pay the club to occupy the space, but the Blue Toon has offered the spot up for free.
Club ace Rory McAllister modeled the kit when it was unveiled last night.
He said: “It’s great to see the Friends of Anchor logo across the shirt for charity.
“We will be wearing these for some of our games further away so it will be really good to get them out there.
“The pink is quite nice but I don’t know if it suits my ginger beard.”
The player joined the charity’s fundraiser Erica Banks alongside a pink lorry, provided by James Jamieson Quarries, another club sponsor.
Miss Banks said: “The unveiling of a new strip is an exciting time for any club and we’re thrilled to be sharing in that excitement with Peterhead FC.

“To have Friends of Anchor’s logo in pride of place on the shirts is fantastic and will no doubt raise awareness of the charity and the work we do.
“We are extremely grateful for the support of Peterhead FC and are looking forward to seeing the new strip in action in the season ahead – I’m sure fans will agree it looks great.
“We would like to also extend our thanks to the club’s patron James Jamieson Quarries, for passing on the opportunity to feature in the design of the new strip.”
Friends of Anchor is currently raising money towards a new £32 million cancer and haematology unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The club’s general manager Martin Johnson was delighted with the first for the club as they branched out in many ways.
“Our fans never really embrace change but here we’ve gone quite different with the pink as many of the teams we will be facing also have the same white.
“But often it’s perceived that football clubs are always taking and we want to be about giving back so we’re giving Friends of Anchor some extra exposure.
“I’m absolutely happy with the design which we picked and it’s all about getting some well deserved recognition for the charity.”
Fans will be able to see the strips in action when the side take on Dundee FC at Dens Park on Saturday.
