A north-east charity has donated its security expertise to help a soon-to-open soft play centre in Aberdeenshire.
Because Everyone Counts (BECS) is putting the finishing touches on its facility in Inverurie, which has been designed for children up to the age of 14.
It will also include a separate sensory room which can be enjoyed by youngsters who need additional support.
Local firm Oteac has now pledged to provide all of the CCTV and related equipment needed so that the children can play without worry.
Mark Fraser, the chief executive of Nucore Group which owns Oteac, said: “The equipment will provide peace of mind to parents and carers alike, so they don’t have to worry about access to and from the building, letting the children explore the specialised play equipment and experience the new sensory room in complete safety.”
BECS founder, Becky Mennie, said: “We have had a few testing weeks trying to raise the final bit of funding to allow us to open fully to the public.
“The donation of the specialist equipment required and installation will allow us to ensure the safety of our users and get us that one step closer to opening before the end of the summer holidays.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support in the local community from businesses and individuals and cannot thank Oteac and the engineers enough for their generous contribution.”
