Police have expressed “growing concern” for a missing north-east 17-year-old.
Sophie Miah was last at her Kemnay home on Monday at around 7pm.
Sporadic sightings of her around the Aberdeenshire town that evening have been reported to officers, who believe she was attempting to contact her friends.
The teenager, who police say looks “distinctly younger than her years”, has not been seen since.
Police last night addressed her directly on Facebook, pleading: “Sophie if you see this please contact police in order to discuss where we can meet with you and ensure your wellbeing”.
Sophie is described as mixed race, five foot one and slim, with long brown hair.
She wears braces on her teeth, has brown eyes and wears glasses.
Police said the teenager has social media friends and contacts in Kemnay, Inverurie, Aberdeen and Elgin.
It is understood she may have been at Cineworld in Aberdeen on Monday evening but officers have yet to confirm this.
A spokesman for the force said: “Anyone who may have seen Sophie or, heard from her or, is housing her since this time, or who has any information on her whereabouts, is urged to contact police.”
Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 0687 of July 23.
