A Deeside community is making plans for the expected arrival of some major Hollywood names for a wedding.
Film director and producer Stephen Crisman is to marry fiancee Penelope Mackie at Glenmuick Church in Ballater next Wednesday.
A-list celebrities including Dirty Harry star Clint Eastwood and Batman actor Michael Keaton are rumoured to be flying in for the Emmy-nominated documentary maker’s big day.
Ms Mackie is understood to have previously lived in the area.
Mr Crisman, 71, has reportedly booked out Glen Tanar Estate in Aboyne for the reception and luxury chalets on the estate.
It has been reported that the couple has booked a tent at the Ballater Highland Games, the day after the wedding.
Games bosses confirmed there had been an inquiry about booking a space but said some of the “main protagonists” originally thought to be coming looked to have pulled out.
In previous years, HRH Prince Charles and Duchess of Rothesay Camilla have attended the day in Ballater.
It is the closest village to the summer holiday home of the royals, Balmoral Castle.
This year there will additional celebration to mark the 100th birthday of the chieftain of the games, Captain Alwyne Farquharson.
Ballater itself is no stranger to celebrity, as pop star Kylie Minogue delighted villagers by celebrating Hogmanay there in 2016.
