A 20-year-old man, accused of sexually assaulting a teenager, will appear in court later today.
The incident happened on the roof of the St Nicholas shopping centre at around 3.45am on Saturday morning.
Officers later confirmed that a 20-year-old man had been detained in relation to the alleged assault of an 18-year-old woman.
The shopping centre was sealed off by police for most of the day.
Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Walker said: “I would take the opportunity to thank members of the public who assisted the woman following this incident and for assisting with our inquiries.”
