An Aberdeenshire teenager is in training for an international competition which he thinks will lead to a sky-high career.
Liam Byrne, from Stonehaven, will travel to Italy with plans to train to compete in the UK Wingsuit Acrobatic National competition.
Clad in a specially designed suit that allows the wearer to “fly”, the equipment is becoming more popular for the greater amount of control they allow than traditional skydiving.
The 18-year-old north-east daredevil has been taking part in jumps since his early teens and is now looking to make it his profession.
He said: “I’m going to Italy for team training for next years nationals. You are given a set of tricks and routines to do, and are scored on how well you do and how much you can do.”
