Holiday-makers are being urged to send a postcard to an Aberdeen care home to spark memories among its residents.
Cranford Nursing Home in Aberdeen wants to receive messages from around the world to get residents talking about places they have been, or always dreamed of going.
Care home manager Michelle Paterson said staff had discovered such prompts helped to get older people – particularly those with dementia – talking.
She said: “We’ve launched this campaign to stimulate conversation in Cranford.
“It’s really beneficial for our residents, especially those living with dementia, to reflect on past experiences and share memories.
“They’ll also really brighten up our notice boards.
“Our residents will love seeing all the different places people are travelling to this year.
“Any help in achieving our project, would be greatly appreciated.”
Travellers are urged to write a short message on the card and send it to Cranford Nursing Home, 83-101 Cranford Road, Aberdeen, Ab10 7NJ.
Alternatively, drop it in at the home and enjoy a cup of tea with the residents.
