Firefighters carried out a waterside rescue last night after a dog became trapped on an Aberdeen embankment.
The fire service received a call that the animal was trapped on Kennerty Mills Road in Peterculter at 4.45pm.
Specialist units, including two boats, made their way to the scene.
After around half an hour, the stranded dog was rescued and the fire service received their stop message at 5.25pm.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We were called at 4.45pm to reports that a dog was stuck on an embankment on Kennerty Mills Road in Peterculter.
“Two units from Aberdeen and two boats were sent. On boat was from Kingsway, Dundee and one from central Aberdeen.”
