A man in his twenties has died in the town centre of Fraserburgh.
Emergency services were called to the Broad Street area at 9.50am. Police said despite the best efforts of “paramedics he died at the scene”.
The road has been closed and will reopen once officers have finished carrying out their inquiries.
It is understood the incident was a medical matter and there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call today at 0938 hours to attend an incident on Broad Street in Fraserburgh. We dispatched two ambulances to the scene.”
