The Ugie Folk Festival will bring a variety of new and traditional music to Aberdeenshire for the 26th time next month.
After the success of the event last year, Ugie Folk Club is gearing up for another fiesta of folk music from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22.
Entry to all events is free, but booking is recommended for the Saturday night Grand Concert.
Kicking off the event this year is the Festival Folk Club night on Friday at 7.30pm in the Longside FC Social Club featuring Sandy Leggat and Roy Bartlett Henderson as well as numerous local performers.
Everybody is welcome to take part in the open stage night.
Aden Park Theatre in Mintlaw will be the venue for Saturday’s afternoon concert starting at 1.30pm, with visitors to the park also welcome to enjoy the free entertainment.
The main event – the Grand Concert – will be held on Saturday night in Crichie Village Hall in Stuartfield.
Bring your own refreshments to the concert, with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Local favourites the Ugie Wall of Sound, Aberdeen entertainer Ron Gardner and former BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year, Claire Hastings, will be performing.
The festival’s final event will be held at Longside FC Social Club at 2pm where there will be an open session for anyone to take part.
