The incident took place around 10am this morning on the B976 at Marywell, near Aboyne. The man was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he remains in a serious condition. The road was closed for six hours while police carried out their investigations. No other vehicle is believed to be involved in the crash. Anyone with any information has been urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1613 of 25th August.
