The north of Scotland is recognised for its high-quality attractions which bring visitors in from across the world.
Five-star visitor attraction quality assurance awards have been handed out to 68 popular tourist spots by VisitScotland.
Aberdeen has three with the prestigious five – Trump International Golf Links, Aberdeen Sports Village, and the Gordon Highlanders Museum.
In Aberdeenshire, there are 12 which have been awarded the honour including Braemar Highland Experience, Balmoral Castle, The Platform and Fyvie Castle.
In Moray, there are 15 including Glenfiddich Distillery, Falconer Museum, The Macallan Visitor Centre and Speyside Cooperage Visitor Centre.
The Highlands has a total of 38 sites with five star accreditation.
For example, the attractions of Eilean Donan Castle, Cruise Loch Ness and Campbells of Beauly have all been recognised.
