A planning application has been lodged to demolish Greyfriars House in Aberdeen.
The application, submitted to the city council this week, reveals that more than 100 new homes could be build on the site on the city’s Gallowgate.
A public consultation exhibition will be held for the development on October 10, with a venue yet to be confirmed.
The planning application describes the venture as a “major redevelopment to form primarily residential units – maximum approx. 140 – including demolition and other ancillary development with car parking, access, landscaping and infrastructure.”
The building – built between 1950 and 1959 – currently comprises of six floors and 49 car parking spaces.
