Artwork by pupils at Newtonhill Primary School has been unveiled at a new retirement community which opened at the weekend.
Children from every class at the school were invited to paint or draw a picture showing a special memory with their family as part of a competition organised by the management of Brio Landale Court in Chapelton.
Almost 260 pictures were entered into the contest, and they are now all on display at the facility.
Karl Hallows, director of development at Brio Retirement Living, said: “We were both overwhelmed with the phenomenal response and the efforts of the local school children.
“It is fantastic to see the children’s creativity on show for all to see, including the huge number of people that turned out for the charity bike ride and walk.
“We are delighted to be opening Brio Landale Court and we look forward to welcoming our first homeowners.”
