An Aberdeen man has admitted stealing a truck and driving it while nearly three times the legal alcohol limit.
Peter Macleod took an ERF lorry from Kennedy Transport Centre at Sevenoaks in Newmachar in the early hours of Monday, August 6, last year.
Later that day he drove the stolen vehicle on an unclassified road between Newmachar and Fintray, near Roadside Steading in Fintray, and elsewhere, while under the influence.
The 40-year-old had 63 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath. The legal limit is 22 mcg.
He also admitted driving the vehicle without a licence for heavy goods vehicles, and without insurance.
At Kittybrewster police station, he then failed to provide information to the police.
Sentence on Macleod, of Fowler Avenue, was deferred and the case will call again at the end of the month.
