Two new shows have been added to Aberdeen’s International Comedy Festival.
One of the fresh additions, Jordan Brookes, was the winner of the Dave TV channel’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for best comedy show of the year.
Mr Brookes will make his Aberdeen debut fresh from a successful run at the Fringe, where he was described as “one of the comic coups” of the event.
His show, I’ve Got Nothing, will take place on Friday, October 4, in Spin at 8.30pm.
Fans of The Chase star Paul Sinha showed such demand for his show at The Park Inn by Radisson that a second has now been added.
And Scottish stand-up Fern Brady has been moved to a larger room in The Lemon Tree after her show sold out in record time.
The festival will run at a number of venues across the city from Thursday October 3 until Sunday, October 13.
The festival has been organised by Aberdeen Inspired since 2016 with support from The McGinty’s Group Scotland and Balmoral Group.
Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “We’re delighted to already have two sold-out shows and we expect this trend to continue.
“This really underlines the calibre of our line-up this year and just how popular the festival has become.
“It has really established itself as a must attend event and put Aberdeen on the international stage.
“Securing new stars like Jordan Brookes reinforces this even more and we can’t wait to bring all the laughs to the city next month.”
