A plastic surgeon has been granted permission to transform an unused office building in Aberdeen into a clinic.
Dr Thanassi Athanassopoulos submitted the proposal to Aberdeen City Council, outlining his idea to transform the basement of the premises at 10 Albyn Terrace.
Dr Athanassopoulos now plans to use the building as a consultation room and to carry out minor treatments.
The surgeon earned his medical degree at Oxford University and King’s College Hospital in London.
He was later awarded the Royal College of Surgeons Research Fellowship in recognition of his work.
Dr Athanassopoulos is also a consultant plastic surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
Council planning officers approved the scheme, saying the application complied with relevant policies.
