Emergency services were called to the one-car crash on the A947 Aberdeen-Banff road, a mile south of Newmachar, at about 11.15am this morning. They found a white Vauxhall Corsa overturned at the Swailend junction. Police closed off the road while firefighters made the scene safe. Nobody was injured. A fire service spokeswoman said: “We were told by the ambulance service there was one car overturned between Newmachar and Dyce. “We sent two appliances, one from Dyce and one from North Anderson Drive. “Crews were called to make the scene safe and the stop message came in at 11.34am.” The southbound carriageway was reopened shortly after, but the northbound lane remained shut for a number of hours until the car was recovered.
