Plans for the annual Aden Country Park heritage and working tractor day are ploughing ahead.
Scores of vintage farming vehicles are expected to attend the event on September 29 to show visitors how the Buchan estate worked in years gone by.
The Buchan Development Partnership, who organise the event, has also lined up new attractions including a farmers market and a ploughing demonstration.
Development officer Leona Findlay said: “It is always a popular event especially with vintage machinery enthusiasts and this year will be a working tractor event featuring ploughing up at Hareshowe farm.
“Registration forms have flooded into the office and we are delighted that so many people want to take part.
“We have added a number of new attractions to the programme to keep it fresh and exciting including a farmers market in the polytunnels with stallholders selling a selection of local produce such as fresh fruit and veg, cakes, preserves, sweets and chocolates to name but a few.”
Local historian Derek Jennings will be doing walking historical tours throughout the day and Louise Macdonald Highland Dancing School will be performing at 2pm.
Children can play with the Waulkmill Menagerie petting zoo animals and Finnie 4×4’s Highland cows or take part in crafts in the theatre.
The event will run from 11am to 3.30pm. Entry is £2.
