Police in Aberdeen are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a 10-year-old girl who went missing in the city today.
UPDATE 7.10pm: According to police Alfreda Ikuenobe has been traced safe and well.
Alfreda Ikuenobe was last seen at 9.45am in the Queens Road area.
The 10-year-old has not been seen, or been in contact with anyone since this time, and concern is growing for her welfare.
When last seen Alfreda was wearing her school uniform which consisted of black trousers, a white shirt, navy jumper and navy jacket.
Police said the 10-year-old has links to Drumoak.
She is described as African, around 4 ft 9 ins tall with long black braided hair.
Inspector Mark Stephen from Mastrick Police Office said: “Along with her family, we are becoming increasingly concerned for Alfreda’s welfare and are eager to locate her as soon as possible.
“As part of our inquiries we’re keen to hear from anyone who may have seen, or spoken to Alfreda, since Wednesday morning. She may be using public transport around the Aberdeen area, however was last seen on foot.”
Officers are asking business owners and homeowners to check any sheds or outbuildings in case Alfreda has taken shelter within.
