A festival highlighting ways to use hydrogen will be held in Aberdeen later this month.
The Hydrogen Festival will include practical examples on hydrogen development, the European picture for transport, heat and power, power to gas workshops, and will showcase a hydrogen car from the Shell eco-marathon and Arcola schools challenge.
The car was made by Aberdeen University students.
Councillor Philip Bell, Aberdeen City Council’s HyTrEc2 spokesman, said: “With its history of innovation and technology development for the oil and gas industry, the North Sea region aims to be at the forefront of this transition creating new opportunities and generating employment.
“We look forward to welcoming delegates to the conference and to the festival, underlining our vision to be a key player in the roll-out of hydrogen technology.”
The free event will run from September 30-October 4. For more information, visit Aberdeen City Council’s website.
