A young pianist from Aberdeenshire is preparing to play his first solo concert to raise cash for a north-east charity which supports adults with learning disabilities.
Finn Stevenson-Robb, 19, will perform this week at Newton Dee, a village community in Bieldside which provides care and employment for people with additional needs.
Mr Stevenson-Robb, a former winner of the Banchory Rotary Club’s Young Musician Competition, said he wants to use the event to raise cash for Camphill Communities, which runs the village as well as the Camphill School in Aberdeen.
His brother Rohan attended the school, and now works at Newton Dee part of the site.
The young piano player said he wanted to use his talent to support the organisation that has given so much to his brother.
He said: “We have all benefited from the support of Camphil over the years.
“My brother loves Camphill, so we do too.
“We see close up the amazing work they do for people with special needs.”
The concert will be held at the Phoenix Centre in Newton Dee on Friday, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
Mr Stevenson-Robb added: “The Boston piano at the Phoenix centre is beautiful.
“The acoustics are lovely and the theatre is amazing, so I hope that lots of people will come forward to support the event.”
Entry will be free, but Mr Stevenson-Robb said donations to Camphill will be appreciated.
