Kind-hearted children at an Aberdeen school have dedicated their harvest assembly to helping less fortunate families in the area.
Over 200kg of food was donated to homelessness charity Aberdeen Cyrenians and food bank CFine by P2 pupils at Fernilea Primary School, their families and teachers.
Representatives from both charities attended the assembly to thank the children and let them know where the donations would go.
Teacher Nicola Munro said: “The children dedicated their assembly to telling the rest of the school about the importance of harvest, and about who the donation would be helping.”
A spokeswoman for Aberdeen Cyrenians said: “We are extremely grateful for the support of Fernielea School.
“The food donated will make a real difference to the lives of many people affected by homelessness in the area.”
