A team of north-east volunteers have been given a top award for their work adding floral flourishes to their town.
Inverurie Environmental Improvement Group were given a gold medal at the Beautiful Scotland Awards for providing and maintaining hanging baskets at their local railway station.
They were among five groups of green-fingered volunteers from across Scotland commended for their work.
Tracy Stevenson from ScotRail said: “I’d like to congratulate the winners and thank all the volunteers for their hard work and contribution, not just to Scotland’s railway, but to the wider local community.
“Supporting local communities and their projects is incredibly important, and these award wins showcase the fantastic work of our many volunteers.”
