Motorists and shoppers are being warned to expect disruption in Portsoy town centre next week.
Resurfacing is due to be carried out in Aird Street, with preparatory works getting under way on Monday. Traffic lights will be set up.
The resurfacing work itself will require full closure all next weekend.
For traffic travelling from the west towards Banff and Fraserburgh, the easiest diversion will be to stay on the A96 at Fochabers, heading towards Keith, and then take the A95 from Keith to Banff.
From Cullen, the B9018 road via Deskford to Keith there will also be a signed diversion, however large goods vehicles must follow the Fochabers diversion.
The bus service through Portsoy will be reduced for the weekend, but buses will be running throughout the day. Check the Stagecoach website for updates.
Businesses within Portsoy will remain open throughout the closure, and will be clearly signposted.
