Members of a north-east mountain rescue team took to the hills this weekend for vital training.
Braemar Mountain Rescue Team were training in causality evacuation exercises.
Members of the team are regularly called out to emergencies and have to rescue people in treacherous conditions often late at night.
As part of the operation, a team member was stretchered off the mountain, passing streams and rocky roads.
They carried out similar training at the start of the month.
In 2015, Braemar and Aberdeen mountain rescue teams took part in the joint familiarisation training on the new S92 Search and Rescue helicopter with pilots and winch-men from Bristow.
The new helicopters went on to replace the RAF and Navy Sea Kings that carried out the rescues.
Braemar Mountain Rescue Team operates from two bases in the Cairngorm National Park. The team headquarters is in Braemar and they also have a subsidiary base in Ballater.
