An Aberdeen road will partially close from today for subsidence repairs.
The inside lanes of both northbound and southbound West North Street from Mounthooly roundabout to Morrison’s petrol station will be affected. The outer lanes will remain open.
An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said the road was built over an old line of houses and there has been “historical subsidence due to settlement”.
The local authority will temporarily infill the areas of subsidence, and is planning to undertake major reconstruction works next year.
The inside lanes of West North Street will be closed from 6am today until 11.59pm on Friday, September 27.
Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
