Inverurie will come alive with music this weekend as the town hosts the In-Tune festival.
More than a dozen bands are lined up to perform, ranging from the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra and David Bowie tribute band Spiders on Mars.
Impromptu musical performances will take place across the town, on the streets and in shops.
A Street Food Syndicate on Station road will also add to the festival feel.
Inverurie Bid has organised the fun to attract more people into the town centre, and are building on the success of previous musical events.
Derek Richie, Bid manager and organiser of both events, said: “Whilst the musicians playing in the various venues around the town will provide a great deal of entertainment and fun, I am confident that people will stay for the town’s abundant hospitality and community spirit.”
The first performance will be at 7.30pm today, and there will be acts on throughout the weekend.
Musical performers include, Seonaid Aitken and Mini Big Band, Ruby Rendall & Friends, Silver City Soul Revue, Ocean’s 3 with Fiona Kelly,The Solem Quartet, Rose Room, When you Wish upon a Song and the Red Hot Rhythm Makers.
