Toddlers will enjoy new toys and primary school pupils will host their own “business breakfast” after receiving grants from a local housing firm.
Attendees of Hilton Toddler Group, which welcomes babies from birth to four year-olds, will soon be able to play with new toys and experiment with different craft materials.
The group received £200 of a shared £750 donation from Cala Homes’ community bursary initiative.
The remaining funds are being used by ambitious P7 pupils at Bramble Brae Primary School in Northfield to host a business breakfast in January.
The event will be entirely organised by the pupils, with the aim of envisioning their career potential through team challenges and 15 guest speakers.
Mike Naysmith, managing director at Cala Homes North, said: “Groups and projects like these are exactly the reason we launched our community bursary four years ago.
“We are proud to be able to lend a hand and support young generations in our city.”
