An Aberdeen man has appeared in court accused of murdering a woman in the city. Margaret Robertson was found dead in her home in Promenade Court on Regent Walk on the afternoon of Friday, September 27. Police launched a major investigation into the 54-year-old’s death. Norman Duncan, 40, appeared in private on petition at the city’s sheriff court today charged with her murder. Duncan made no plea, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody. He is due to appear in court again next week. Ms Robertson’s children issued a statement on Thursday evening paying tribute to their mother. They said: “Every member of Meg’s family is heartbroken and she will be sorely missed by us all. “It is hard to comprehend our mum has been taken from us. The past few days have obviously been extremely difficult for us as a family.”
