Mounthooly Roundabout will be closed tonight as Scottish Water carry out emergency repairs to a burst water main.
To allow the work to take place safely, lane closures will be in place from 6pm eastbound on Hutcheon Street and southbound on Causewayend, as well as on the roundabout itself between Hutcheon Street and Mounthooly.
The closures are expected to remain in place until tomorrow evening.
Water supplies in the area are not currently affected and Scottish Water’s team will use the resilience built into the local network to keep any short-term impact on service to a minimum.
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “Due to a burst water main at Mounthooly Roundabout in Aberdeen, we will need to carry out emergency repairs from 6pm this evening.
“Traffic management is required to ensure this work can be completed safely, and these arrangements are expected to remain in place until tomorrow evening.”
They added: “We understand the disruption this will cause for local residents and commuters and will do all we can to have the affected roads re-opened as soon as possible.
“We would like to thank road users for their patience and understanding while this essential repair work is completed and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
