A community group with ambitious plans to renovate an A-listed Aberdeen building have called for ideas for future uses of its granite outbuildings. Save Westburn House are planning to breath new life into the Archibald Simpson-designed building and have began a fundraising campaign. But now the group is considering whether the granite outbuildings in Westburn Park could also become part of the project. As well as the house, the set of sheds and workshops are also listed on the Buildings at Risk Register. They are thought to date from early to mid-19th century. An online statement reads: “Located within Westburn park are a set of granite garden sheds or workshops. “Once part of Westburn House gardens, these buildings are also currently listed on the buildings at risk register. “It has been suggested that perhaps we include these buildings as part of the Westburn house restoration project. “What ideas do you have for a use for these buildings?” The group can be contacted through their social media pages.
