An Oldmeldrum man is seeking help in staging a free mental wellbeing event in the north-east.
After leaving his banking job three years ago, Kyle Hi went travelling across the world, a decision he said vastly improved his own mental health.
Upon his return, he said he’d noticed a shift in temperament in north-east people and is seeking to “restore some optimism.”
He will host a free event this month featuring talks and workshops and hopes between 200-300 people will attend.
Mr Hi, who was born in Aberdeen and now lives in Oldmeldrum, said: “I’m very fortunate to have met some amazing people during my travels and now I want to do what I can to help others like they helped me.
“We have a number of speakers lined up and the topics will address mental health, finance, love, spirtutality – there’s something for everyone.”
Mr Hi is scrambling to find a venue for the event, for which speakers and wellbeing experts are pencilled-in to speak at and is seeking local businesses willing to offer sponsorship.
The 31-year-old added: “I know Brexit is causing a lot of uncertainty for people, so I am keen to have the event before October 31.
“Any help will be appreciated.”
