A group of north-east Scouts have spent a week in Belarus teaching English and learning Russian.
The youngsters from the 21st Aberdeen Cults Scout Group returned from Gomel in the south-eastern part of the country.
They spent time their time at four schools in the city, which is twinned with Aberdeen, helping pupils with conversational English and learning basic Russian in return.
One of the group, 15-year-old Lewis Brady, said: “We were in Gomel for seven days to strengthen the connection with Aberdeen’s twin city and help the youth there improve their English
“They were all very welcoming and we had a great time – I felt that it was very productive.”
They also visited a chocolate factory and took part in an environmental project planting trees.
They also tried their hand at bricklaying, plastering and welding.
