The crash took place on the A90, near to the Ellon roundabout. A police spokesman said: “We were called to a one-vehicle crash on the A90 at 8.13pm. “Passengers are currently trapped within the vehicle and firefighters are working to free them. “An ambulance has been called and the incident is ongoing.” A fire spokeswoman said: “We are carrying out the removal process for three people within a car on the A90.” Two fire engines have been sent to the scene from Ellon, as well as one from Oldmeldrum. UPDATE 8:30pm The three people have been freed by firefighters. There injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
