A popular comedian and farmer will host an evening of tall tales, witty banter and observational humour next month in Inverurie to raise cash for a castle conservation project.
Jim Smith, who still works the land in Perthshire, has risen to stand-up fame with his comedy acts about rural life.
He will be performing at Inverurie Town Hall on Friday, November 8, to raise cash for the £1.5 million campaign to protect the future of Braemar Castle.
The fundraiser was launched this summer to help safeguard the future of a 17th century landmark.
Braemar Community Limited wants to raise money to repair the structure and expand the programme of events on offer to help make it a five-star attraction.
More information is available at www.eventbrite.co.uk, and doors open at 6.30pm.
