Aberdeen International Airport was evacuated last night after a fire alarm, with passengers forced to wait on the bitterly cold concourse until firefighters gave the all-clear.
Two crews were called to the airport at about 6.10pm and quickly established it was a false alarm.
An airport spokesman said: “Passengers were evacuated as a precaution but they will all make their flights with only minor delays for those that were just away to take off.
“People were reprocessed through security.”
A spokeswoman for the fire service added: “Two appliances from North Anderson Drive station were sent to the airport.
“They were stood down by 6.25pm.”
