Two women were taken to hospital after a crash on Banff Bridge.
The two-vehicle incident happened on Saturday evening shortly before 7.45pm on the A98 Banff to Macduff road.
Police arrived at the scene to find a Vauxhall Mokka and a Suzuki Grand Vita had collided.
A spokesman for the force said: “Two women were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by the ambulance teams but the injuries didn’t seem to be anything serious or life threatening.
“The road was closed off due to the emergency vehicles on the scene and was opened before 9.30pm when the vehicles were recovered.”
Fire crews from Banff and Macduff were called to cut one of the women free from her damaged car.
A spokesman said: “There was one casualty removed using hydraulic cutting gear.”
