Aberdeen City Council co-leader’s twitter page has mysteriously vanished – just a day after being selected as the Conservative candidate to replace Ross Thomson in Aberdeen South.
Douglas Lumsden will fight the seat for the Tories after the resignation of Mr Thomson following accusations he groped Labour MP Paul Sweeney in a commons bar.
Mr Thomson denies all wrongdoing.
But Mr Lumsden, who was active on social media, had now removed his twitter page.
Councillor Douglas Lumsden has removed his Twitter profile.
He has been contacted for comment.
Meanwhile tweets sent by Mr Thomson mentioning Mr Lumsden have also been deleted by the former according to twitter page Tweets MPs Delete.
