A debate on the rezoning of three schools in an Aberdeenshire community has been postponed to allow councillors to get more information first.
The £10 million Uryside School opened in Inverurie in 2017, but schools in the town are still struggling with overcrowding.
To address the issue, the council is considering rezoning Kellands School, Strathburn School and Uryside School, and a consultation was carried out to gauge the opinions of locals.
However, during yesterday’s Garioch Area Committee meeting, local councillors asked for more time and extra information on the rezoning.
The committee will discuss the issue again on Tuesday, December 3.
