Fire crews rushed to a burning car in the city centre this morning.
They were called to the fire at the Woolmanhill roundabout on Skene Square just after 9am.
Skene Square was closed while crews dealt with the blaze, with traffic in the area backed up from the roundabout back towards Holburn Street.
A fire service spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We sent one appliance from Aberdeen central to the scene at 9:01am.
“The fire was extinguished at 9.33am.”
Local resident Doreen Waud, who lives in a top floor apartment near the Music Hall half a mile away, said: “I looked out of my window and saw a lot of smoke, and I thought ‘that’s not chimney smoke.’
“I went down to have a look and saw a car on fire.
“It then made a loud bang, which was a bit concerning with the busses and traffic going past.”
