The “busy hands” group at Banff Parish Church has been knitting and crocheting Christmas tree decorations over the last few weeks. Now, with a collection of more than 500, they are donating them to local causes and shops. Members of the group recently visited Chalmers Hospital in Banff with a basket full of them for the ward trees. Similar donations were made to Banff Care Home, the Spotty Bag Shop and Tesco. Other shops and businesses in the town were also given angels to hide in their window displays for a contest. The “angel hunt” competition entry forms can be found in Banff Library, Castle Gate and at activities in the church hall. Prizes will be awarded to the locals who can spot all the angels, write down the letter on their dress and solve the puzzle.
