More than 100 police staff were subjected to assaults across the north and north-east between 2018 and 2019.
The force’s method of tracking the attacks includes both officers and other employees who work at stations.
In 2018/19, 69 members of police staff in the north-east reported assaults, compared to 54 for the Highlands and Islands division.
During 2017/18, a total of 86 north-east employees reported being attacked while 32 in the north reported similar incidents.
Superintendent Kate Stephen, of the north east division, said the the nature of the job often means that staff find themselves dealing with “volatile and dangerous” situations to project the public.
She said: “Any assault on a police officer or police staff will not be tolerated.
“It is unacceptable for anyone to be assaulted or abused whilst doing their job.
“The well-being of all staff is an absolute priority for this division and each instance of police assault is acknowledged, reviewed and the appropriate welfare provision is put in place.
“All of this is done to try and prevent these incidents from happening and ensure we are maximising the safety and well-being of all officers and staff.”
The new data does not include the number of attempted assaults.
Several people have appeared in court in recent years for attacking officers.
