Befriend a Child will be hosting its annual Christmas party for the children it supports this weekend.
The event, sponsored by local businesses Camm-Pro and Absoft, is designed to boost the spirits of the children who depend on the support the charity offers.
Sarah Misra, the charity’s chief executive, said: “We are absolutely delighted that both Camm-Pro and Absoft have come on board as sponsors of our Christmas parties.
“It can be such a difficult time of the year for the children and families we support, so we like to alleviate any stresses and pressures that we can and give the children something happy and fun to look forward to.”
The Christmas party will be hosted at the Aberdeen Altens Hotel tomorrow.
More than 150 children and volunteers are expected to attend the festive fun, alongside some Christmas elves.
Guests will be treated to dinner, party games, arts and crafts and a disco.
This year, older children will have the opportunity to take part in a Christmas-themed escape game.
Each child will also be gifted presents which were donated as part of the charity’s giving tree appeal by members of the public and businesses.
