An ice warning for parts of north of Scotland has been extended.
The yellow ‘be aware’ alert warns icy patches are expected to develop and could last till midday on Tuesday.
The warning covers from Aberdeen up to Fraserburgh and across Moray through to Inverness and Aviemore.
A statement from the Met Office warns: “Rain showers will fall onto frozen surfaces this morning leading to some icy patches. Showers will ease this afternoon.”
Police said they have received a number of reports of ice on roads and pavements in the Lochaber area and urged people to “take some extra time to get where you are going and get there in one piece”.
